Experience

Event Production

While working as lead sound engineer for two years at Kidzrus youth theatre in St Ives, I gained operational experience working on technical production for a variety of shows such as Bugsy Malone, Mary Poppins, and annual Christmas pantomimes. Responsibilities included learning full scripts and pre-programming cues, managing and maintaining microphones, conducting pre-show sound checks, and front of house coordination.
In 2022 I moved to London for a year to work for an edu-tech company as a web designer & developer, working between marketing and technical development teams. As part of our marketing efforts we streamed monthly live events, hosting corporate talks and interviews. These were a mix of in-person and remote recordings. In 2024 I spoke on stage at Retail Week Live about the future of interactive technology in retail. Since 2024, I've freelanced as lead technical producer for an Italian-based marketing firm, producing remote interview events.
In my role as Trustee at St Just Sports Centre, I have just organised and marketed a craft fair raising over £1.2k in funds for the charity and assisting recent promotional efforts.

Technical Development, Design, and Marketing

For the last 5 years I have been working between technical and design roles, focusing on launching and maintaining websites and web-apps. During this time I have worked on over 30 projects from 8 countries. I have worked on projects in varying capacities, as both a lead designer or developer as well as under creative direction within larger production teams. These have included Jurnii, Clara, and Hundo, all venture-capital-backed tech start ups, various London-based coffee companies, as well as larger international groups such as Coldplay, PwC, The Global Tech Advocates, Selph, and Tangoo. Last year I co-led a digital rebrand and relaunch for The Old Lifeboat House in Penzance, including a new website and photography. In total, my designs are viewed approximately 1.1 million times per year (estimated Q4 2025).

Strategy and Team Leadership

Currently I co-manage St Just Sports Centre as one of two trustees on a part time basis. At the charity I co-lead all commercial and strategic decision making, including our incredible team of 12 volunteers (up from about 9 volunteers a few months ago), 1 paid member of staff, and various contracted instructors. Since taking on the role we have implemented a new digital user management system and switched to a subscription model to increase our predictable monthly revenue, our month on month revenue is now up by about 45% in the last 5 months, partially driven by seasonal sign-ups. We have launched a new app which connects to our user booking system, with a new website launching in the coming weeks with automated booking and scheduling built in, our new website also automatically connects to our Facebook and Google marketing channels. We are also pursuing grant funding, our most recent £20k application has been aproved to proceed to the next review stage. After storm Goretti, we successfully launched a fundraising campaign for essential repairs needed to our sports hall roof. The campaign was featured on local ITV news and national papers, raising £7k in two weeks.

Personal Interests

In my personal time I love to stay active by playing badminton and cycling along the local coast. I particularly enjoy getting involved in community projects and have a keen interest in urban & city planning; occasionally participating in local planning consultations. In the past couple of years I have volunteered for Golowan on event days.
